About Pet XO
A breed and training library that sells the kit it recommends
Breed-specific training guidance, written plainly, for the dog you actually have.
What we do
Pet XO publishes training and care guidance organised the way dogs are actually built — by breed, and by the work each breed was bred for. The library is free to read in full, without an account, and there is no course waiting at the end of it.
We are a company, not a charity, a registry, or an accrediting body. We fund the library by selling a small, deliberate range of the equipment our guidance calls for. That is the whole business model, and we would rather state it plainly than have you wonder.
How we choose products
An item only enters the shop if a published guide names it. If we write that recall work needs a long line, we sell a long line. If a breed page says a double coat needs an undercoat rake, we sell the rake. Nothing is stocked because it happens to be trending with suppliers.
We also decline whole categories. We do not sell equipment that works by causing pain, fear, or restriction of the airway — no prong collars, no electronic collars, no slip leads sold as training tools. That is a settled position and it is not up for negotiation with a supplier.
How the guidance is written
Every guide is written and reviewed against current mainstream reward-based practice. We do not publish dominance theory, alpha rolls, or anything that frames a dog as deliberately defiant. Where the honest answer is “this needs a professional who can see the dog,” we say that instead of filling the gap with an article.
None of it is veterinary advice. Behaviour that involves biting, real fear, or a sudden change in an adult dog belongs with a vet first and a qualified behaviourist second.
Shipping & returns
Free US shipping over $75. Orders are filled by our fulfilment partners in the US and EU, so a mixed basket occasionally arrives in more than one parcel. Every product page carries its own delivery window and the region it ships from — worth a look before you order, because the ranges differ.
All sales are final — our stock ships straight from the supplier, so there is no warehouse for an unwanted item to return to. Sizing is the usual reason someone wants to send something back, so every harness and coat page lists the girth range it fits. Measure your dog first. If something arrives damaged, faulty, or simply wrong, that is ours to fix and we will. The full returns policy sets out exactly what is covered.
