What to work on first
Three things that matter more than the rest
Coat care is twice-weekly, minimum
The thick double coat mats behind the legs and ears. Train stillness for brushing as its own skill.
Interrupt the alarm habit
Poms alert readily. Reward quiet checking-in at the window before barking becomes the default response to movement outside.
