This breed bonds hard and is over-represented in separation-distress cases. Practise short, boring departures from week one — long before you need them to work.
The double coat needs handling several times a week for life. Teach a chin-rest and pay for stillness at eight weeks and you will never fight a brush again.
Where it usually goes wrong
Behaviour that involves biting, real fear, or a sudden change in an adult dog is not a training problem until a vet has ruled out a medical one.
